I spend more time proving who I am than I do writing.

And another thing that’s causing me grief these days… Whenever I access my “portals,” I provide my username and password, only to be told that I need to receive a special code, either as a text message or via email. I’m instructed to put the code in before I’m allowed into my portal. What’s the sense of having a username and password? And what really fries my butt is that often I’m informed that my password is incorrect! This is the same password that I changed eight days ago and recorded (w/ date and time) in my password book! Then I have to go through the agony of changing my password again and striking out last week’s password in my password book before I can access the portal I was trying to enter. By this time, it has taken me 25 minutes to ascertain if my prescription is ready at the pharmacy! Some of you are thinking, ‘you shouldn’t write your passwords down’. I’m sorry, but I don’t trust digital password vaults that require a single password to access all my passwords. Especially after it takes 25 minutes just to access my medical portal. I’ll stay with my book, with my personal alphabetic substitution cipher system.
